Rapturously Sexy #MySexySaturday #romance #MSSWeek41

I am delighted to participate in the My Sexy Saturday Blog Hop this week. Week 41 is all about that moment when the characters hint at their happily ever after.

The rules are that I post 7 paragraphs, 7 sentences, or 7 words. This Saturday, I decided on 7 sentences from my second book with Ellora’s Cave Publishing, Battling Rapture. In these seven, Niki realizes it might be a delicious thing to be vulnerable with the, oh so sexy Captain Rhine.

** The anticipation sent delicate little shivers down her spine. Then his lips touched hers. Softly at first, they glided across her lips before parting to deepen the delicious contact. His tongue danced with hers and she tried to immerse herself in the exquisite feeling. Whatever this was she felt when with him was addictive. She wanted to absorb what he made her feel into her pores. With a simple kiss he could turn her to mush and convince her she didn’t care if she were vulnerable. **

You can only imagine what comes next. Have you ever given yourself over to a feeling so strong you faced your biggest phobia to have it?

I hoped you enjoyed my 7. There are many more authors waiting to show you peeks into their WIP’s and books. Click the highlighted link that follows to head to the hop.

Battling Rapture Blog Tour #eroticromance #futuristic

It is finally here! Okay the shouting is over. I really love this book and I’m so happy to bring it to you.

Niki and Rhine. You may have met them in, Enslaved in Desire. I didn’t think anyone would guess my intentions, but almost every review of the book which took a guess as to who would be the hero and heroine of the next, picked them to be together. The characters never even met in the first book, but…they were so explosive together as I labored over their story.

So, if you like aliens, IR, kick ass heroines, handsome space captains and lots of intense sex then Battling Rapture is for you. Check out this blurb and excerpt. Don’t forget to read all the way to the bottom for my contest details.

Publisher: Ellora’s Cave Publishing, Inc.

Book Length: Novel

Genre: Futuristic Erotic Romance

Release Date: January 18, 2013

Ellora’s Cave

Niki is captured by hostile aliens after Earth is invaded. Once a soldier, she is now a slave. She is sold to the highest bidder, and then lost in a game of cards to a tall Ordanian spaceship captain, who claims to have been sent to rescue her. They work together to survive the dangers of the United Universe, while Niki battles her desire for the only man to ever enflame her mind, body and soul.

Captain Rhine’s mission is to reunite the Earth woman with her family. Outmaneuvering beast shifters and a crazed stalker are the very least he is willing to do to keep her by his side. Her touch ignites his passion. Her scent drives his lust. Her strength eases his soul even as she challenges him every step of the way. In the end, Rhine understands, the biggest battle is for her heart.

He leaned over her. His stomach muscles bunched and rolled above her. She opened her mouth, barely stopping her tongue from peeking out and tasting him. She looked up instead. He wrapped the rope around her wrists, apparently finding it easy to manipulate the thick cord. He fastened the other end around the top horizontal solid bar of the headboard.

He ran his hands softly over her inner arms. She shivered. She tensed as he grabbed her face a little more roughly. She looked into his eyes. Anticipation wound tightly within her. What would he do next?

“You have two dresses in my bag, correct?” he asked close to her mouth.

She hesitated. He squeezed her face a little tighter.

“Yes.” She stared him in the eye.

“Good.” He let her go. He moved down so that he sat between her legs, which had opened despite her desire not to appear too eager. His cock rested against the juncture of her legs. She could feel its mass through the layers of her skirt and leggings.

He sat back, grabbed her bodice and ripped it straight down the middle. She gasped. Shock held her still for a moment. Then her pussy gushed. This was just wrong. The man had tied her to a bed and literally ripped her top off and she was creaming her panties. Her head fell back and she tugged on the ties around her wrists. She was secured tightly.

Her attention snapped back to Rhine as she felt two large hands cup her breasts. They teased, squeezed and rolled her tits and she enjoyed every minute of it.

“Found some new toys.” She panted and suppressed a groan.

“Mine,” he said. He stared at her breasts hungrily. He slid down her body.

“I don’t know about—” She gasped as he sucked her right nipple into his mouth. Her eyes rolled up into her head for a moment.

“Okay, you can borrow them for a while.” If he kept up the delicious suction, she’d be begging him to try it a little lower in no time.

The Next Big Thing/Stormie’s Way

Thanks so much to A.S. Finechel for tagging me in this game, The Next Big Thing. Writing can be a solitary business, and I’ve found this game useful because I can follow each author’s tags, and trace the author’s who have tagged them. It also gave me an opportunity to extend the opportunity to other authors.

The Next Big Thing is a game where authors spend a bit talking about their books, works-in progress, likes and dislikes.

Here is the link for A.S. Finechel’s blog. Don’t forget to check it out. She’s an awesome writer and great talent.

So, let’s get to it.

The Next Big Thing

What is the working title of your book?

The working title is Battling Rapture.

Where did the idea come from for the book?

Battling Rapture was in my head from the moment I wrote my first title for Ellora’s Cave, Inc., Enslaved in Desire. At the end of Enslaved in Desire, Camryn and Venn begin a search for Camryn’s sister Niki. In Battling Rapture, they find her.

What genre does your book fall under?

I’m really bad with this, but I’m going with futuristic erotic romance.

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

Gina Torres from Firefly fame would play Niki. Clean faced and blonde, either Jason Momoa or Chris Hemsworth could be Rhine.

What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?

A tough, capable resistance fighter captured by hostile alien invaders, battles alongside her handsome rescuer to outmaneuver beast shifters and a crazed killer in order to reunite with her family and seize the promise of rapture she feels in her deliverer’s touch.

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

I don’t have an agent, but I hope my book will be published by the same publishing house as my first published work. (Fingers crossed.)

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

I edited along the way, with the help of my critique partner, A.S. Finechel. It was about 2-3 months. I started and stopped a few times. Then I joined a writing group on Facebook. I cleared 50,000 words in a month. I had to sit and stare at the computer when nothing would come to me, but I got it done.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

I don’t know. I need help with this one. Maybe, something steamy with a capture fantasy edge. Give me an example if you have read, Enslaved in Desire.

Who or what inspired you to write this book?

When I finished with Enslaved in Desire, I knew Rhine needed someone too strong to be ruled by his growing cynical nature. Niki was perfect because she needed someone who understood the pain from her childhood, and someone patient enough to find the real Niki under her layers of armor.

What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

Well, if you like a capable and feisty heroine you will love this book. Captain Rhine, the hero, is what I call a modern alpha. Maybe he’s an alpha/beta hybrid. He’s protective, patient, caring, but completely willing to take charge. Even if that means someone gets tied up, and receives a tongue lashing.
