Accused of treason and the murder of her Psychic Special Forces team, Tessa is in the custody of the FBI. She’s shocked and terrified when the most powerful Psi Agent in the world shows up to probe her mind and discover her guilt or innocence.
Joshua never expected to find a victim of one of his probes attractive, but he can’t seem to leave her behind when all hell breaks loose. Saving the stunning blonde means being drawn into a psychic war that will definitely end his career—and likely both of their lives.
The rhythm of their psychic auras hums to perfection and neither can fight the bond, but it’s all ripped away by a madman with a grudge. Tessa falls into a coma, and Joshua will have to risk his heart and soul to pull her back from the brink.
A Romantica® paranormal erotic romance from Ellora’s Cave
Joshua got up from the farm table. “I’ll be back in a little while. Peggy, can you show Tessa where she can rest?”
Peggy smiled warmly. “Of course. You’ll be wanting a shower too. If you give me those clothes, I’ll get them in the washing machine and have them clean when you wake up.”
“You’re very kind, Mrs. Flack.”
She waved a bony hand in dismissal. “You just call me Peggy. Everyone does.”
Tessa had said all the right things to Peggy. She had been polite and controlled her emotions. Inside, she was just short of full on panic. He was leaving her. Who could blame him? Tessa didn’t want to alarm the Flacks so she remained silent, yet practically screamed in her mind, “Where the hell are you going? Are you leaving me here?”
Part of her wanted him to hear and another part of her understood why he would want to get as far away from her as possible. Just because she could feel his emotions didn’t mean he would sense hers. He was undoubtedly very practiced at closing off his mind. If he was really a level ten psychic, he would have to just to stay sane.
He’d likely get killed if he stayed with her. At least he’d gotten her to a place where she could try to catch a few hours of sleep and then she’d be on the run. Probably for the rest of her life, however long that might be.
From the way his head spun around, she might as well have spoken out loud. His eyes widened and then he stalked toward her. He was visceral and terrifying. His body language said he wanted her and he might take her right there in the kitchen.
Tessa held her ground in the center of the old linoleum floor. She didn’t know if she wanted to move closer or run away. Everything about Joshua made her at once, curious, aroused and afraid.
Bill cleared his throat and walked out the door with his shotgun in his hand.
Peggy said, “Well, um…I’ll just wait for you in the next room, Tessa dear.”
Joshua didn’t stop until he was standing with only a sliver of light between them. She had to crane her neck to look up at him. His mouth came within a centimeter of hers, but he never touched her.
“I’m not leaving you.”
Her heart pounded in her chest and her stomach clenched painfully. “I can take care of myself.”
One side of his mouth lifted. His right hand came up and calloused fingers slid across her cheekbone. He was powerful. He could kill her. If his psi rating was true, he could likely kill her without touching her, but he could just as easily snap her neck. She could defend herself, but what would be the point. This was Joshua Lakeland. Eventually he would win.
Those same fingers continued until they were threaded through her hair and he forced her to look him in the eye. “I know you can, Tessa. I’m not leaving because I don’t want to leave you. I can’t explain why, but we’re in this together. You’re going to have to learn to trust me.”
She had to force air into her lungs. “I’ve already taken several leaps of faith. You just said you were leaving. If you want to go, then go.”
He shook his head, but didn’t release her. “I’m going to get rid of the car. I don’t want to get picked up by the local police because we made a rookie mistake and kept a stolen car too long.”
“Oh.” She could feel her cheeks flushing.
His left hand came up and cupped her other cheek. He ran a thumb along her bottom lip. She wanted to be impervious to his attention, but her body trembled at his touch.
His mouth drew closer. His breath mingled with hers as her lips separated partially in shock at what was about to happen and partially in need of his kiss. Those deep blue eyes locked with hers and she couldn’t blink or look away. He scanned her face to her lips, closed his eyes and stepped away.
Tessa’s instinct told her she should throw her arms around his neck and take the kiss he’d nearly given. Her cautious nature kept her feet planted in the spot on the linoleum.
Only the sound of heavy breathing filled the kitchen for several ticks of the clock.
“I’ll be back in a little while. You’d better get some rest.” Joshua walked out the kitchen door into the yard.

Please welcome the fabulous Morticia Knight! She is here to talk about her new MM release Set Ablaze and muse about pushing boundaries.
Where are Your Boundaries?
I could probably write a couple dozen posts on that subject matter – there are so many areas that could be covered! But this subject comes up in my new MM release, “Set Ablaze”, that is about two hunky firemen falling in love. Nothing wrong with that, right? Except for one little thing: one is the fire chief, and the other works for him. Uh-oh. The ol’ inappropriate relationships at work dilemma.
Well, I have a confession to make: that’s how I met my partner seven years ago. There was also a cougar thing going on there, but that’s not the point today. The point is that I was his boss. Yeah. I crossed boundaries. Now before everyone goes all judgmental on my ass, I did legitimately try and fight it. I told my closest friends that it was terribly wrong, and that I couldn’t allow it to happen. They all called me an idiot and told me to go for it. I guess we know where their boundaries are.
He didn’t help. He kept after me, and even though we didn’t ever swipe papers off the desk and have at it there in the office, we confessed our feelings for one another. And then we snuck around for a while, and then my boss found out when someone from work called me at a restaurant to tell me he had a health scare and I freaked out. In front of the Board of Directors that I reported to directly for work. Good one.
Fast forward a little where I made a startling frank confession to my boss, she told me that everyone had already figured it out – “duh” – and that as long as he could exit gracefully, there would be no repercussions. Yikes. Hormones are a bitch. This is why showing up for work on time every day is important people – you can always fall back on that (“But I’m very punctual”).
But here’s the deal; it wasn’t just hormones. That I could’ve dealt with. This was the real thing, and it went beyond attraction. We fell in love, and I guess for me, that’s where my boundaries are. What about you, have you ever had what some would consider an inappropriate relationship? In the following excerpt from “Set Ablaze”, the young recruit Tom inadvertently walks in on his boss – who he is falling for, but believes is straight – at a very awkward moment.
Set Ablaze, Book One in the Uniform Encounters series.
Publisher: Total E Bound
Genre: MM erotic romance, Men in Uniform
Length: 143 pages
Blurb: Hunky fire chief Eric is out of the closet after twenty years of marriage. Can he find true love, or will a spate of arson fires destroy his chances with Tom, the sexy young fire-fighter?
It was ten p.m. when he arrived at the station, and his pulse quickened a little when he saw the light still on in the chief’s office as he pulled in the driveway. If he kept driving past the garage where the engines were kept and parked by the sleeping quarters, the office would be completely obscured from any of the guys on shift—even if they went outside for a smoke. Tom noticed a tan Ford Bronco parked at the end where the office was. That must be the chief’s ride. Exactly what he would have pictured him in.
Tom was about to continue pulling all the way in, when he thought of something. Maybe he could just drop in and thank Eric again for the opportunity. Who knew when else he might be able to see him without anyone else around?
Stupid. It’s late at night, I’m sure he doesn’t want to be bothered.
Tom sat there letting the car idle while he wrestled with his gut instinct—the one that was telling him it was a bad idea. Then a wonderful realisation hit him—he’d promised the chief he would drop off a copy of his most recent physical as he was stuttering and bumbling out of his office earlier. Tom put the car in park, and jumped out. He opened the back lift gate, and rummaged around for the paper he’d brought with him.
Yeah, it was still a little weird, but he could at least say that he’d seen the light on, and thought it would be easiest for him to drop it off on his way in to his shift. His heart thumping in his chest, Tom grabbed the document, parked his car properly, and started to walk towards the office door, surprised to note that his legs actually felt a little shaky.
I must be more tired than I realised, that’s all.
He reached the door to the building, and it was unlocked, so he went ahead and pulled it open. The waiting area and Keri’s office were completely dark, but there was a sliver of light coming from the partially opened door to the chief’s office. He heard a groan.
Oh shit, is he okay?
Tom ran forward and was about to burst into the office when he heard another voice, a younger male one.
“Oh yeah, you like that, don’t you, Mr Anderson? You like it when I squeeze your cock and play with the tip like that, don’t you? You see—you need me. I’m going to show you how much more you need me when I lick your balls and then suck the juice right out of your fucking huge cock. Here I come, baby…”
Tom heard an even louder groan, and Chief Anderson’s voice, “Oh God, Brad, I can’t believe how good that feels. But I…”
“You want me to stop? Is that it? Okay, if you don’t need my tongue doing this to you…”
Tom heard a whimper.
What is he doing? What is he doing?
Tom was bombarded with a flurry of emotions—surprise, lust, jealousy, curiosity. He didn’t know what to do. God, the chief wasn’t straight after all. But if Tom got caught… He was so curious, but he didn’t dare creep any farther. He should just leave that very second.
The chief moaned some more, and Tom could tell the man was nearing climax. Christ, if he didn’t get out of there soon, he would be too. He’d need to get his boner to go down before he could even head over to start work. What a night! Tom turned around to leave, and bumped his leg against the magazine table. Without thinking, he cried out.

I’m pleased to have L. VanHorn here today to tell us a little about herself and the sexy new release Valkyrie Slumbering. Check out that cover! Very sexy. Without further ado, let’s get to the interview.
SK: What do you do when you’re not writing? Skydiving? Deep sea diving?
LVH: Anything that involves the outdoors. Kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, I’m an outdoor type of gal!
SK: Where do you get your ideas?
LVH: All aspects of life inspires me but the core of my ideas start in myths, legends, and history.
SK: Do you ever experience writer’s block and how do you get rid of it?
LVH: Unfortunately, I do fall prey to it. Exercise usually works but when that fails a shower or bath always does the trick. Something about water gets my muse in gear!
SK: Are you a plotter, pantster or a hybrid?
LVH: I’m a hybrid, so glad you added that option! I like to do a loose plot and allow the story and characters to dictate where the plot goes.
SK: Is there an author or book who/which influenced you to become a writer?
LVH: In the beginning Jean Auel and Anne Rice inspired me to write. Odd combination, I know. 😉
SK: Tell us about your upcoming book or new release.
LVH: My erotic fantasy novella, Valkyrie Slumbering just released and the sequel will be coming out this winter. I would describe it as: Steamy nights in ancient Iceland, a search for vengeance, and creatures from Midgard complicating the whole matter. Rich in Viking lore, this fantasy novella will appeal to those who enjoy romance, fantasy, and erotica.
SK: How do you come up with your titles?
LVH: Titles usually come to me when the story idea does, or shortly after. I then google to make sure they haven’t been done before~or at least not to the extreme~to make sure they’re unique and adjust accordingly. To me a title must say something about the book.
SK: Is there a theme or location you love to write about?
LVH: From my title you probably already guessed, but I love Viking lore. The Norse were fierce and often brutal but they also shaped the world as we know it today.
SK: Light or dark chocolate?
LVH: Definitely dark! Though I love both.
SK: Dogs or Cats?
LVH: Cats, I like independent creatures.
SK: Light side or dark side?
SK: Star Trek or Star Wars?
LVH: Yes. I love sci-fi, what can I say?
SK: What is your favorite color?
Now here’s more about Valkyrie Slumbering!
After the murder of her father, Kyra’s heart is consumed by the need for revenge. The hunt is all that matters. But a chance crossing of paths with the alluring and mysterious Grim threatens to derail her focus and her quest. Something about him draws her in, melts her walls, and speeds her heart. Like her, he is half Alfhiem, but it’s more than that. He’s funny, considerate, and treats her as an equal even in battle, something most of the Vikings of her native homeland would never do.
Steamy nights is one thing, but Kyra can’t allow her heart to become wrapped up with anyone, not until she finds and kills the man who murdered her father. Traveling across the countryside with Grim, though, challenges her resolve in more ways than she thought possible. She still hungers for the hunt but that hunger begins to dim in comparison to the one that grows inside her for Grim.
Creatures that could only be from the legendary land of Midgard interrupt their hunt again and again, creatures that shouldn’t exist in this realm. Soon it becomes unclear whether or not Kyra and Grim are the hunters, or the hunted. But who would hunt them, and why?

Malia Mallory is here today to talk about her erotica and erotic romances and sensation play. I can’t wait. Take it away Malia!
Book Title: His Need, Her Desire
Genre: Erotic Romance
Book Length: 75 pages
Published Form: eBook
Hi all! Thank you Stormie for inviting me to appear today. I’m here to talk a bit about His Need, Her Desire and its sequel.
With my newest release, His Need, Her Desire, I branched out a bit from erotica more into the erotic romance realm. I’m currently hard at work on the sequel, His Desire, Her Surrender. These are both what I would term erotic romance with light BDSM elements. In the first book, one of the more memorable scenes depicts sensation play.
Sensation play can involve the deprivation of sensation such as wearing a blindfold. It can also involve the stimulation of the senses by using feathers or tickling. In His Need, Her Desire, the sensation play is primarily temperature play, the application of hot and cold, though a blindfold is involved too!
Marcus, our hero, utilizes wax and ice to create a series of sensual sensations for his partner, Tabitha. Wax play, like all such activities, needs to be safe, sane and consensual. Different waxes melt at different temperatures, so care must be taken not to burn the recipient. The application of the wax can produce in an artistic result on the skin, particularly if multiple colors are used.
Ice play is often utilized with wax for contrast. Ice can also be uniquely shaped for use. The melting slipperiness can lead to some interesting situations! Ice is often one of the easy entry points into sensation play.
Thank you for stopping by! Please take a peek at the blurb and excerpt for His Need, Her Desire below.

His Need, Her Desire Blurb
Tabitha Quinn didn’t come to Hawaii to be spanked. But when vacationing businessman Marcus Granger saves her from drowning, they begin an affair that moves from the beach to the bedroom and straight into an experience Tabitha’s never had before: dark-haired, blue-eyed Marcus is a dominant, and spanking is just the beginning. The sex is intense, the emotion even more so, until they both must decide if this is a holiday fling or the real thing.
His Need, Her Desire Excerpt
Tabitha’s smile grew wide. She held out her hand. “Really, I can’t thank you enough for your help.”
He held her hand in a firm grasp a shade longer than necessary, but Tabitha didn’t mind. She enjoyed looking at him. Though he had probably shaved that morning, an attractive shadow highlighted his chin and strong jawline.
“I’m glad I was in the right place.”
Tabitha released his hand. “So, where’s your sister?”
“My sister? How did you know?”
Tabitha bit her lip. “I’m sorry to say that I eavesdropped a bit. I was sitting near you at dinner last evening.”
“Eavesdropping? That seems extremely naughty.”
Tabitha was caught off guard by the tone of his voice. He was teasing, and yet, there was a thread of authority running through his words. Tabitha tried to suppress a shiver. “Well, sometimes I just can’t help myself.” Marcus appeared disarmed by her honesty. “Are you traveling with anyone?”
Tabitha gave him a playful look. “Why do you ask?”
Marcus smiled. “Because I’m interested in knowing the answer, of course.”
“Well, if you’re thinking about ditching my body at sea, I’ve got six family members waiting for me in my hotel room upstairs. If you’re thinking about asking me to dinner, there is no reason why you shouldn’t.” Tabitha amazed herself. Where is this coming from? This man brought something out in her. She’d bet those broad shoulders and sexy smile had enticed many a woman.
He laughed. “You have nothing to worry about. I never use force, unless of course, it is desired.”
“Oh?” The truth burst into her mind. It suddenly became clear that he was fishing around a bit. There had been several hints here and there, but it seemed like he might be looking for a certain sort of woman. No, he couldn’t be. I’m imagining things.
“It’s true. I would be pleased if you joined me for dinner this evening.”
Tabitha did a mental fist pump in her mind. Woohoo! Dinner with Gorgeous Guy. “What did you have in mind?”
“Would you be averse to allowing me to surprise you?”
Tabitha hesitated then plunged ahead. “Not at all. It’s clear you have excellent taste.”
Marcus raised an eyebrow. “What makes you say that?”
“Well, we both dined at the same restaurant last night, and I thought it was terrific.”
“Ah, well, my meal was less than pleasant unfortunately.” His tone indicated the subject was off-limits.
“Perhaps it was the company and not the food?”
Marcus laughed. “You are undoubtedly right and surprisingly honest.”
“My mother would say that my tongue is quicker than my brain.”
The corners of Marcus’s mouth lifted. “I’ve always been a fan of quick tongues.”

Helena Harker, a fellow EC author, is here to tell you about her ebook, Art of Desire. For an extra treat she’s answering a few of my nosy questions in an interview. Leave a comment to win one free copy of “Art of Desire.” Don’t forget to leave your email.
“Art of Desire” was a lot of fun to write, and I was thrilled when Ellora’s Cave accepted it. My idea was to have a teacher (Jenna) run into her former student (Justin) one day, a student she had a major crush on, and decide to make her fantasies a reality. To spice things up, I made the student an Art major who asked her to pose nude for a lifecasting assignment.
I wanted Justin to turn the tables on Jenna. She’s been fantasizing about Justin for a year, and now she can finally let her cougar roar and go after him! But Justin has other plans. He wants to teach her about taking it slow, about being patient, and when she’s trapped in the alginate mold, it’s the perfect opportunity to make Jenna hunger for more without giving it to her right away.
To get a better idea of what I’m talking about—from the pros of lifecasting—here’s a link to a few sites. The video will give you a much better idea of how it’s done.
This site explains part of the process: http://www.bodysculpture.uk.com/lifecasting_process.html
Here’s a video that shows you how it’s done (warning: the model is nude!)
I hope you understand the process now! I love art myself, but I’m into drawing, painting and photography. Lifecasting isn’t something I’ve ever tried, and I’m sure I never will.
“Art of Desire”
Blurb: When Jenna runs into a former student she used to have a crush on, she decides to make her lusty fantasies a reality. Justin is studying Fine Arts in university, and when he asks Jenna to pose nude for a sculpture, her inner cougar tells her to go for it. But while Jenna can’t wait to teach him how to pleasure an older woman, Justin turns the tables and decides to teach her the art of patience.
His arctic-blue eyes met mine, and shivers of recognition danced through me.
I hadn’t seen him in a year, but it felt like only days. As gorgeous as ever, Justin arched his brows in surprise, giving me a shy smile before pouring red wine into two long-stemmed glasses.
So he worked as a bartender in a hotel restaurant. Maybe I’d ask him for a Sex on the Beach or better yet, a Screaming Orgasm. I grinned. Still eyeing his dirty-blond hair, neatly trimmed beard and square jaw—God, I’d love to trail my fingers along that jaw—I walked to the bar, swept my short ruffled skirt under me and sat down. Long, black hair fell past my shoulders. I tucked a few strands behind my ear, glad I’d taken extra time this morning to apply Bold Bordeaux, my favorite shade of lipstick, and matching eye shadow.
Hey, scrumptious, I wanted to say, but opted for a more acceptable, “Hi, Justin, how have you been?” My teeth snagged on my lower lip, and butterflies came alive in my stomach. Why the hell was I this nervous?
Because he’s half your age, my conscience snapped. And in case you’ve forgotten, he’s your student.
Former student, my inner cougar growled back. He graduated last June, remember?
“Hi, Mrs. Fall—”
“Jenna!” I corrected him. No need for formalities, especially since they reminded me of my age. “I’m not your teacher anymore.”
“Jenna,” he said slowly, savoring every syllable as it rolled off his tongue. He returned the bottle to its shelf and offered me the wine list. “Great to see you. I’m going to the University of Montreal now. I started a massage therapy program last summer, but I quit. Needed something more intellectually stimulating.”
Oh I could stimulate you in all kinds of ways, the cougar inside me purred.
Ooh, steamy, Helena. Now onto the interview.
Bio: Helena Harker is a teacher by day, writer by night, a daydreamer who loves to escape to other worlds. Her fiction is populated by strong men, passionate women and lots of paranormal creatures. In her free time she enjoys photography and curling up with a good book. She is multi-published and also writes in other genres.
Stormie: What do you do when you’re not writing?
Helena: I take care of two little girls all by myself. So when they go to bed at seven, I heave a great big sigh of relief and grab my laptop to do some writing.
Stormie: How/why did you choose the genre you are in?
Helena: I got really frustrated that it was very difficult to sell and market my young adult books. So I started writing erotic short stories, and they got picked up immediately and by Ellora’s Cave, no less! So bye-bye children’s book! I’m giving up on that genre.
Stormie: Are you a plotter, pantser or a hybrid?
Helena: When I start a project, I just let it flow. The first few chapters just develop on their own. After that, I need to plan, so I have a 12-point chart based on Chris Vogler’s Hero’s Journey, and that’s what I try to follow until I get to the end.
Stormie: How do you market your work? What works best for you?
Helena: What works best? I think that’s one of the great mysteries of the universe. I wish I knew. Marketing erotica is different from marketing YA novels, and I am still trying to figure out what works best.
Stormie: Tell us about your upcoming book or new release.
Helena: I have an erotic steampunk novella coming out on Feb. 8th. It’s called “Carnal Devices”, about a prostitute in Lower London who is tired of her clients and wants to become a wealthy courtesan by getting clients from the Steam Society, an exclusive men’s club full of aviators and inventors. Her name is India, and she creates a new persona for herself called India of Rajasthan. Here’s a link to the cover. I think it’s breathtaking! http://www.helenaharker.com/novellas.html

The wonderful and talented Ella Jade is here to talk with us about her new release, Master of the Inn.
I’ve launched the Pleasure Inn series with Master of the Inn. All the books will take place at Pleasure Inn and can be read in any order, but Master of the Inn establishes the setting for the entire series. Before I could properly tell each story, I needed to introduce you to Logan and Elyse and explain how the inn came to be.
The Innkeepers, Logan and Elyse, will spend their weekends indulging patrons of the Bed and Breakfast in their unique fantasies. It could be a first time getaway, lovers reconnecting or celebrating a special occasion. I have so many planned. The possibilities are endless.
This undertaking is like none I’ve tried before. I know when I fall in love with a couple in a romance novel, I always want more. I often wonder, what are they doing? Are they married? Did they have a baby? This series was a way for me to keep you invested in my couple while introducing you to the many other lovers who take up residence in my head. I’m excited to introduce you …
Pleasure Inn… Where all of your fantasies become reality.
Executive chef Elyse Clapton has had it with city life. She’s spent the last few years building her cheating boyfriend’s trendy New York City restaurant into a success. When their relationship ends, so does her desire to be in his kitchen. She flees to a quaint inn she remembers visiting as a child. She gets more than she bargains for when she meets the sexy, reclusive inn keeper.
Handyman Logan Cole inherited Pleasure Inn against his wishes. Ever since he got caught up in a scandal involving another man’s wife, he keeps to himself – finding solace in a bottle. He didn’t realize how lonely he’d become until Elyse shows up on his porch. He’s instantly drawn to her and convinces her to stay at the Bed and Breakfast.
Elyse comes to town looking for a getaway. She never expects to fall for Logan. It doesn’t take her long to believe the inn’s motto. Logan’s dominance in the bedroom makes all of her fantasies a reality.
Book One in the Pleasure Inn Series
Look for the next book in the series, Indulging the Professor due out March 2013.
