Six Sentence Sunday

Hello Everyone,

This is my first Six Sentence Sunday (http://www.sixsunday.com). This excerpt is from my Ellora’s Cave eBook,  Enslaved in Desire during the moment the alien Venn has Earth woman Camryn safely aboard his spaceship and is assessing her without the alien market audience.

It was as he’d come closer to her in the market that he had noticed her scent. Some of the Earth women they had seen had a similar scent, but none as strong as this one. She smelled like fantasy, long nights and deep desire. It was musky and sweet at the same time.  Around him, his cousins’ nostrils flared.

“Mine,” he said, using his neutral voice.

Let me know what you think. 😉

About Stormie Kent

Stormie Kent is the author of romance with science-fiction, paranormal and contemporary elements. The universe she has envisioned for her erotic sci-fi romances are filled with warrior men and the women who fiercely love them. Space pirates abound with dueling goals of stealing your credits and your life or stealing villain credits and freeing the slaves of the United Universe. Stormie has imagined a world where the hostile alien invasion of the third planet from the Sun forces each surviving resident of a fractured Earth to seize their destiny or perish. Enslaved in Desire and Battling Rapture are available now.

  1. As a whole, I really liked your six, but I found your very first sentence to be clunky. I understand what you’re trying to say, but the words feel awkward. What about something like Her scent caught his attention, beckoning to him. of, He was drawn to her scent.

Just a suggestion, and I could be very wrong.

    • Thanks for the comment Jess. It is already in print though so changing it is impossible. I made a change to the post so that would be clear. 😉 Have a great day!

  2. So visceral. Great six! And I’m not just saying that because I loved this book. 🙂

  3. Oh! Possessive just from her scent! Yummy. 🙂
